2023 Fires Off At Cocopah for Winter Nationals

Riley made the trip to the Cocopah Speedway in Yuma, Arizona to kick off his 2023 season this past weekend to attend the final three nights of the IMCA.TV Winter Nationals.

Thursday night, he shook the rust off both cars in his heat races and then was able to pass some cars in the b-mains, but came up short of making the feature in either car.

Friday, after running 9th in his Modified heat race, he worked forward from 10th up to 3rd in the b-main, missing a transfer by just one spot. In the Stock Car, he rallied from 7th to win his qualifying heat race and then ran inside the top ten during the majority of the feature, ending up 13th.

Saturday for the finale, he finished 4th in both his Mod and Stock Car heat races, which lead to him running the b-main in the Mod, where he ran second. In the features, he raced from 22nd up to finish 15th in the Mod main and rounded out the weekend with an 11th place finish in the Stock Car feature.
